2011-2012 Team Preview: KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski

KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski will play in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the first time in their history in 2011/2012. They will be the second Macedonian team, along with the defending BIBL champions KK Feni Industries.   KK Torus is one of the better Macedonian clubs in the last years, as they made their debut in the top Macedonian League in 2008/2009 when they finished seventh. One year later - in 2009/2010 they achieved a big success, finishing third in the local championship, and also getting the silver medals in the Cup of Macedonia.    Last season - 2010/2011, the club finished fourth in the championship and played in the semifinals of the Cup of Macedonia.   The team is coached by Slobodan Petrovski, and Dragan Vasilov is his assistant. All the home games are being played in SC Boris Trajkovski - the biggest and most modern sports hall in Macedonia.   Definitely the most notable name in the team′s roster is the one of veteran forward Pero Blazevski. Despite his 39 years of age, he was one of the top players in Macedonia last season - 15.0 points and 6.3 rebounds average for Rabotnicki. Also the team has Ivica Dimcevski, a combo guard who recently was part of the Macedonia NT for EuroBasket 2011. Bojan Trajkovski adds BIBL experience to the team, as he has 25 games in the Balkan League with Feni in the previous seasons, averaging 9.2 points and 5.5 rebounds. There are also two Americans - Phil Turner and Justin Reynolds, along with Serbian center Ilija Milutinovic who recently graduated from college in the USA.   KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski is in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League, along with the teams of BC Rilski Sportist (Bulgaria), BC Galil Gilboa (Israel), KK Mornar Bar (Montenegro), BC Timisoara (Romania) and OKK Beograd (Serbia).
