Aleksandar Gruev will play for Levski until he receives an offer from abroad

One of
the well-known names around the EUROHOLD Balkan League in the past three
seasons - Aleksandar Gruev will play for BC Levski Sofia, until he receives an
offer from a foreign team.
Gruev has spent all his professional career so far with the team of BC Rilski
Sportist Samokov. He played there for the last 8 seasons, and for the last 3
campaigns has been a regular participant in the EUROHOLD Balkan League. However
Gruev, who was part of the extended roster of the Bulgarian NT decided not to
extend his contract with Rileco for the upcoming season, hoping to sign abroad.
Last season he averaged 7.2 points, 1.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 12 BIBL
games for Rilski Sportist.
His total number of appearences in Balkan League games is 32, including 17 starts.
His average numbers over the three seasons spent in the BIBL are 9.8 points,
1.9 rebounds 4.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest.
Back in 2009 Gruev was captain of Rilski, when they won the EUROHOLD Balkan
League title in Samokov. In 2011 he won a silver medal, once again with the
jersey of Rileco.
