Rilski and Timisoara are starting their season in the BIBL tonight

BC Rilski Sportist and BC Timisoara are set to play what would be the first game in the EUROHOLD Balkan League for the 2011/2012 for both teams. However Rilski has tons of experience, as the Bulgarian side has won the competition back in 2009 and in 2011 won the silver medals. On the other side we have BC Timisoara, the Romanian team set to make their debut on the BIBL scene.   In the history of their participation in the Balkan League Rilski Sportist has played twice against an Romanian opponent - back in 2008/2009 when they faced Dinamo in the regular season stage. Both teams exchanged one win at home, so Rileco′s balance against Romanian teams in the Balkan League is 1-1.   Last season Rilski Sportist reached the final of the BIBL, where they lost to the champion KK Feni. Rosen Barchovski has remained the head coach of the team, but there were some changes on the roster. Bogdan Boev is the new captain, while Asen Velikov, Filip Vukosavljevic, Ante Bilobrk, Hristo Zahariev and George Jovanovic are awaiting their debut for the team in the BIBL. Also Branko Mirkovic is back on the team.   On the other side we have BC Timisoara, coached by Predrag Badnjarevic, who has some experience in the Balkan League, as he was coach of Euroins Cherno More a couple of season back. The Romanian side definitely has interesting names on the roster - starting with Romanian star Bogdan Popescu, going through American Dominique Archie and finishing with the Serbian trio Jovanovic - Markovic - Cuic, and also adding Robert Sarovic, who has a German pаssport.   Tip off is set for 17.30 local time in Arena Samokov in Samokov, as the game will be broadcasted live on Bulgarian National TV - World, Romanian National TV and in the Internet on Sportmedia TV.   The game will be officiated by a trio from Montenegro - Igor Dragojevic, Ognen Jokic and Milos Koljensic, while Anguel Ivanov from Bulgaria is the commissioner.
