Todor Gecevski will join Levski in December, according to the team′s official website - levskibasket.com. The 208-cm tall Macedonian center was the team′s top priority during the summer, but his transfer was canceled, as he announced that he will not play basketball anymore, after suffering a hand injury at EuroBasket 2011.
However the experienced center has changed his decision, and has recovered from the injury. He′s already back to practice and is expected to arrive in Sofia in the beginning of December.
"I just need a little more time to prepare myself, and after that I will continue to play basketball as a part of Levski, as the club gave me the best possible offer at this time." said Gecevski for Makedonski Sport.
Gecevski appeared in six games for Macedonia at EuroBasket 2011, averaging 9.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per game. Macedonia finished fourth, losing the bronze medal to Russia.
34-year old Gecevski spent the last season playing for PAOK in Greece, as in his career he has also been part of KK Zadar (Croatia), Air Avellino (Italy), Brandt Hagen (Germany) and Rabotnicki (Macedonia).News
