Timisoara facing OKK Beograd as both teams are looking for their first win

BC Timisoara are hosting OKK Beograd in a delayed game from Round 1 of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League. Both teams have suffered only losses so far - BC Timisoara (0-2) and OKK Beograd (0-1). The game tonight in Timisoara will decide which team will finally get their first win in the new season of the BIBL.
 
The home side BC Timisoara lost their first two games in a dramatic way, starting with a defeat in Samokov against Rilski Sportist (80:78) after a last-second shot. In their second game, this time at home they suffered another loss, once again in a close game, as they fell short against Macedonian side KK Torus - SC Boris Trajkovski (72:74).
 
OKK Beograd played their first BIBL game of the new season last week, when they suffered a heavy away loss against one of the Israeli outfits, which made their debut in the competition - BC Galil Gilboa. The final score in Gan Ner was 22 points more for Gilboa - 84:62.
 
Bogdan Popescu has been Timisoara′s most constant performer in the first two games, averaging 15.0 points and 4.5 rebounds. Zlatko Jovanovic adds 15.5 points plus 3.0 assists, while Robert Sarovic has 13.0 points per contest. American Dominique Archie has 12.0 points and 7.5 reboounds over the team′s first two games.
 
Luka Drca impressed for OKK Beograd despite their loss in the game in Israel, as he scored 21 points along with 10 rebounds. Mirko Kovac was the other player to finish in double digits, scoring 12. However Marko Icelic has Slavko Stefanovic, Nenad Misanovic and Dragan Mitrovic in depth.
 
The game starts at 18.00 local time and will be broadcasted live on Sportmedia.TV and on the Romanian National TV - TVR3.
 
Borislav Peltekov and Iskren Manolov from Bulgaria and Petar Denkovski from Macedonia will officiate the game, while the commissioner will be Marius Marinescu from Romania.
