Vlado Djurovic has been appointed as the new head coach of OKK Beograd. At the position he is replacing Marko Icelic, who was coaching the team in the last two seasons in the EUROHOLD Balkan League.Djurovic has quite an impressive career, as he has been head coach of some of Europe′s top clubs including Crvena Zvezda (Serbia), Zadar (Croatia), Aris and AEK (Greece) and Lietuvos Rytas (Lithuania).
He has also been in charge of the Yugoslavian national team in 1993 and of the Belgian national team in 1997.
Other clubs he has coached include Towzin (Iran), FMP, Metalac, Vojvodina (Serbia) and CSKA Sofia (Bulgaria).
OKK Beograd are currently winless in Group A of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League, as the team has a balance of 0-3.
