Hapoel Tel Aviv suffered a bad road defeat against one of their biggest rivals this year in the Israeli League - Elitzur Yavne - 75:83. Before this game, the BIBL representative made 4 wins in a row.The hosts controled the game in the first quarter, winning it 20:12. In the second period the Erez Edelsthein′s team got better and after 20 minutes on the court the score was 42:39. The third quarter was the decisive one in this clash, as after 24:15, Elitzur Yavne was up by 12 points with only 10 minutes to the end. Despite the strong last quarter Hapoel Tel Aviv didn′t manage to win the game and to climb to the first place in the Israeli National League, staying second on 10-3 balance. Elitzur are third with 9-4 record.
Corry Carr ended with 13 points and 8 rebounds, while Demontez Stitt added 12 points, 8 boards and 4 assists. Jonathan Skjoldebrand scored 11 for Hapoel. On the other side Elad Hoffman was the best scorer with 20 points.
