Strong second half carried KK Feni past KK Ulcinj

The defending EUROHOLD Balkan League champion - KK Feni Industries achieved an important home win against KK Ulcinj and defeated them by just one point - 81:80, after they were behind on the scoreboard almost the whole game. However after a strong second half, the 2011 BIBL champions celebrated a win.
 
KK Ulcinj were the side that got off to a better start in the first quarter, as they quickly built a 5-point lead - 5:10 with 7.26 to go. The defending champions from Feni were having hard times in these minutes, and Ulcinj continued to add points to the difference, as with 4.10 left they had their first double-digit lead - 9:20 after a three by Boban Medenica. Feni woke up and decreased their deficit, but ath tend of the period they were still behind - 21:25.
 
Things weren′t going well for the home side, as they struggled in the opening minutes of the second period as well. Three minutes into the second quarter, Ulcin led by 8 - 25:33. Emil Rajkovic was making a lot of substitutions in the third period, trying to find the right formula, but Ulcinj kept their lead, and didn′t let it go until the end of the period. After 30 minutes they were ahead by 13 - 55:68.
 
Feni showed that they had no intention of losing the game, entering the fourth quarter. The defending BIBL champion started the period with a 10:2 run, cutting their deficit down to 5 points - 65:70 with 5.57 left in the quarter. Ulcinj held this five-point advantage in the following minutes, before Feni managed to get even closer - 73:74 with 3.09 to go, after two made free-throws by Zlatko Gocevski. Jarrid Frye tied the game at 75:75 with 2.11 on the clock, but Milan Latkovic scored for 75:77. Zlatko Gocevski responded with a three - 78:77, and Kiril Nikolovski made two free-throws to extend Feni′s run to 5-0 - 80:77 with 17 seconds left. Milos Djurisic made one free-throw for 80:78, and Vladimir Brchkov did the same thing - 81:78. Boban Medenica made two free-throws for 81:80 with 4 seconds to go, but Ulcinj didn′t have time to do anything more and that was the final score.
 
Ivan Lilov led Feni in the win with 25 points and 6 rebounds. Newly arrived forward Zlatko Gocevski added 18 points, while Kiril Nikolovski and Jarrid Frye finished the game with 10 points each.
 
Boban Medenica scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds for KK Ulcinj. Milos Djurisic had 16 points and Radoje Djurkovic added 15 in the losing effort.
 
Feni Industries improved their balance to 4-2 after tonight′s win and are currently third in Group B. KK Ulcinj remained on the fifth position with a balance of 1-5.
