Changes in the system and the dates for the quarterfinal series

The management of the EUROHOLD Balkan League has took the decision to change the system and the dates of the quarterfinals for the 2011/2012 season. The main reasons for that are to have bigger possibility for the games to be broadcasted live on TV and on the Internet at SportMedia TV, and also to avoid possible problems due to the bad weather conditions.
 
The quarterfinal seeds remain the same - B2 against A3 and A2 against B3, but there are changes in the dates. The series  between the second in Group B and the third in Group A will be played on 20.03.2012, 27.03.2012 and 29.03.2012 (if needed). The series between the second in Group A and the third in Group B will be played on 28.03.2012, 03.04.2012 and 05.04.2012 (if needed). The teams with better ranking in the regular season (A2 and B2) will have homecourt advantage in the series.
 
The change in the system is that in the first game the team with better position, for example A2 will visit B3 while the other two games will be played on A2′s homecourt.
 
The management of the League took this decision after a serious check and consultation, and came to the conclusion that this system will give the same fair possibility to all teams and will create an interesting stage before the Final Four.
 
The starting hours of the game will be between 18.00 and 19.30, according to the request of the TV′s that will broadcast the games.
 
The teams that will play in Israel will fly on Monday and will have two options for flying back (Wednesday or Friday), according to the result of the second game.
 
The EUROHOLD Balkan League will continue to always try and make changes, which support the clubs and the interests of the competition.
