BC Hapoel Tel Aviv is one of the teams with biggest tradition in Israeli basketball, along with one of the biggest fan bases in Israel. An interesting fact is that the team is managed by it’s own supporters. This is the Hapoel’s debut participation in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as they finished the regular season on the second place in Group B.

Erez Edelshtein’s squad has a balance of 8 wins and 2 losses in the regular season of the competition. Both losses came against Levski Sofia – 85:78 in Universiada Hall in Sofia and 79:86 at home in Hadar Yosef in Tel Aviv.

Hapoel has a great background, as the team has participated in numerous European Club Competitions such as the FIBA Europe League, the FIBA Euro Cup and the FIBA Champions Cup.

So far in 10 games in Group B Hapoel has team averages of 81.2 points per game (top spot in the group), 29.7 rebounds and 13.4 assists. Along with those Hapoel makes 10.1 steals, 2.8 blocked shots and 13.8 turnovers.

Curtis Kelly has been impressive over the course of the regular season, averaging 18.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals and blocked shots. Demontez Stitt adds 15.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists while Cory Carr has 10.8 points, 4.1 boards and 3.0 assists. Former Israeli national team player Matan Naor averages 10.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
