KK Feni vs. HKK Zrinjski Mostar – CANCELLED!

The delayed game from Round 9 of Group B of the 2011/2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League between KK Feni and HKK Zrinjski Mostar, which was supposed to close the BIBL regular season tomorrow in Kavadarci is cancelled. The reason for this is that HKK Zrinjski Mostar already finished their participation in their domestic championship in Bosnia & Herzegovina and immediately after that released some of their players, and now they don’t have enough players to submit a full squad in order to play in Kavadarci.

After this became clear, the management of the EUROHOLD Balkan League decided that HKK Zrinjski Mostar can’t fulfill their obligations to the League according to the official Regulations and the game against KK Feni Industries will not be played. Moreover, the management is really disappointed with the attitude of HKK Zrinjski Mostar and in the next couple of days there will be a decision and an official statement regarding the situation.

Since HKK Zrinjski Mostar won’t travel to Kavadarci for this game, KK Feni Industries will be awarded a 20-0-win. Thus, the Macedonian champion will move up to the third spot in Group B (5 wins and 5 losses) which gives them the position to go through to the quarterfinal stage of the EUROHOLD Balkan League, while KK Napredak Rubin from Krusevac finishes fourth and therefore their debut participation in the League .

In the quarterfinal series of the KK Feni Industries will face the second-placed-team from Group A – KK Mornar Bar.
