Road to the Final Four: BC Galil Gilboa

BC Galil Gilboa, the club that is going to host the 2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four in Gan Ner from April 21st to April 23rd secured their spot in the main event of the season after finishing on the top spot in Group A - with nine wins and just one loss in ten games overall.   The team showed it′s high level and potential not only in some of the big wins with much difference, but as well in the close games that weren′t decided until the end. For example against OKK Beograd away from home (71:74) and Mornar Bar away from home (76:78). The only team that managed to beat Galil Gilboa in the group phase was Rilski Sportist (72:70 in Samokov) in the middle of the season.   After a very succesful season Galil Gilboa reached the Final Four in their debut in the EUROHOLD Balkan League, as along with Hapoel Tel Aviv they are the first ever Israeli teams in the BIBL.   Dagan Yivzori is having a good season, averaging 14.1 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Joseph Jones adds 13.7 points in just 19.3 minutes average, while Courtney Fells adds 13.0 points per contest. Romeo Travis has 11.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists, while Ido Kozikaro scores 9.8 points average and Yan Martin adds 9.6 points. Christopher Thomas leads the team in assists with 3.9 pаsses per game.   Lior Lubin′s squad is performing good not only in the EUROHOLD Balkan League but in their domestic championship as well, as they find themselves on the second place in the standings behind Maccabi Tel Aviv.   In the second semifinal from the schedule of the 2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four Galil Gilboa are facing the other Israeli team - Hapoel Tel Aviv, as the game is scheduled for 21.30 on April 23rd in Gan Ner.
