From all four teams that qualified for the 2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four, the defending champion KK Feni Industries definitely had the longest and toughest road to the final event of the season.
Feni finished third in Group B, sharing the same balance with the fourth-placed team - KK Napredak Rubin - 5 wins and 5 losses, but due to advantage in the direct games it was Feni who moved on to the quarterfinal play-offs.
In their quarterfinal play-off series the defending champs faced the young and talented squad of Mornar Bar. In the first game in Kavadarci Feni won 92:85 after great performances by Ivan Lilov (25 points) and Jarrid Frye (21 points). In the second game in Bar, Mornar were close to upsetting Feni, but Ivan Lilov came up big when needed, hitting a clutch three-point shot and giving his team the 2-0 sweep in the series after an 82:83 win away from home.
Ivan Lilov has been Feni′s top scorer with 18.8 points per game along with 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Jarrid Frye adds 12.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists, while Zlatko Gocevski scores 10.0 points per game. Dusan Knezevic has been in good shape lately, as he has 9.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocked shots per contest.
This will be Feni′s fourth straight appearance in the EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four, as Emil Rajkovic′s side is the only team in the history of the BIBL who has participated in all four Final Four tournaments so far.News
