The Sports Director of FIBA World - Mr. Lubomir Kotleba was one of the official guests of the 2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League Final Four. He shared some of his time and talked about the competition, the participating teams and as a former referee of course the officiating.   "First of all I want to take in note the good organization, and at second note - the good basketball. I have seen only two games and six referees, but they had a solid performance and I think that the teams shouldn′t have any complains against the officials."   "I was at the Board Meeting of the League, which was held in the Israeli Basketball Association and I think that the BIBL is a perfect solution for teams with smaller budgets. I understand that the beginning wasn′t easy and a certain level of professionalism should be reached, but I really like the idea. I hope that soon teams from othe rcountries will join the League as well."   "I must say that the basketball in Europe is really strong, it′s the continent with the strongest basketball. The fact that Macedonia qualified for the Pre-Olympic tournament is a good sign that work is being done not only in the leading countries in the region - Serbia and Croatia. I′m aware that the Balkan countries have economical issues and that makes things harder. There definitely is progress, but we must be aware of everyone′s limits."   "The 3x3 project is one of FIBA′s main priorities. We aren′t hiding that we want it to become an Olympic sport. Our goal is for 3x3 to become something like the beach volleyball, but in basketball. We aren′t thing that much about the level of te game, but more about how we will introduce a lot of young people to sports."
