Domestic leagues: Galil Gilboa′s season is over after a defeat in the quarterfinals

The 2012 EUROHOLD Balkan League champion - BC Galil Gilboa finished their season at the earliest stage of the playoffs in Israel. Lior Lubin′s side lost the quarterfinal series against the team of Maccabi Ashdod 3-1, after another home loss - 80:82 in the fourth game.   Galil Gilboa entered the fourth quarter of the game leading 62:59, but Ashdod won 18:23 in the decisive period and celebrated a well-earned 80:82 victory and a spot in the semifinals where they will face the winner from Maccabi Rishon and Ironi Ashkelon.   Romeo Travis scored 18 points in the losing effort for Galil. William Hatcher added 16 points and 4 assists, Dagan Yivzori had 14 points and 6 rebounds, while Courtney Fells scored 13 points.   Josh Carter led Maccabi Ashdod with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Meir Tapiro and Inan Iram added 16 points each.
