EUROHOLD BIBL finalist Levski defeated Lukoil Academic in a friendly

Last season′s EUROHOLD BIBL finalist Levski won a friendly game yesterday. The Blues played against their biggest local rival Lukoil Academic and won the game 92-80.
Levski played very good team basketball and deserved the victory. The first quarter was very even and Levski managed to pull away in the second one. The hosts had a few good plays at the end of the first half and went in to the break having 43-33 lead.
The new signing Marko Marinovic started hot in the second quarter with three straight three-pointers. Levski managed to take a 14-point lead but Lukoil finished good the quarter and even went in front for 63-62 after 30 minutes.
Levski responded well in the last quarter and again took the advantage. The team and with a few triples went up by 11 points. The Blues kept the lead until the end and took this good win.
New signing Marko Marinovic was the top scorer in the game with 21 points. Chavdar Kostov added 16 while 15 and 6 rebounds had Nikolay Varbanov.
