Levski won the friendly tournament in Stara Zagora, Rilski finished third

EUROHOLD BIBL finalist from last season - Levski, won the friendly tournament in Stara Zagora after defeating the hosts Beroe 92-73 in the final game. The other participant in the Balkan League - Rilski Sportist, finished third after downing Cherno more Port Varna by a huge margin - 112-74.
Levski had a tough final game as the hosts were close until the start of the last quarter. Dimitar Dimitrov scored 6 quick points to finish the third one as Levski took a 12-points lead in to the fourth. Then Beroe started an 8-2 run that cut the deficit but until the end "The Blues" cruised on to take the win.   Marko Marinovic was the top scorer for the winners with 21 points adding also 8 assists. Good games had also Stefan Georgiev with 17 points and Dimitar Dimitrov with 15 and 8 rebounds.
Rilski Sportist had a great game against Cherno more and took a big win. The team from Samokov scored 15 three-pointers from 25 attempts and had a lead of 33 points the middle of the second quarter. The biggest advantage was 42 points and the win of Rilski was almost never in doubt.
Braxtod Dupree had a very good game with 26 points and 9 rebounds while Stanislav Slaveykov scored 20.
In the semifinal Levski defeated Rilski Sportist 89-80 in a game between two EUROHOLD BIBL teams. It was an even game for most of the time until Levski made a strong run and took a 21-points with 7 minutes to go. Rilski though didn′t give up and cut the deficit to only 8 points but just didn′t have the time to do more.
Chavdar Kostov was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points and Zlatin Georgiev added 16. For Rilski 23 points and 7 assists had Terry Smith while Hristo Zahariev scored 16 points.
