Team on Focus: KK Kumanovo 2009

KK Kumanovo 2009 is a newcomer to the EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team will make its debut this season but surely will be one to watch in the competition. KK Kumanovo has some good players in the rosters but perhaps the biggest advantage of the team are the local fans. Every single game the gym is full with at least 5000 spectators that will make the life very difficult for every visiting team.
Two very good national team players are forming the backcourt of KK Kumanovo 2009. Aleksandar Kostoski is the main point guard of the team and Ivica Dimcevski can play both guard position. Both of them have good qualities and are able to lead the team in difficult moments. Marjan Mladenov is the reserve point guard and is very quick and difficult to guard for some opponents.
Dimcevski is the main player on the wings while the other position will be shared between other players. Vladimir Georgievski and Darko Stanimirovic will get a lot of playing time with youngster Petar Vilarov also ready to come in if needed.
KK Kumanovo looks very stroing in the frontcourt as well. The giant 214 cm tall Uros Lukovic, the son of head coach Ljubislav Lukovic, is a big presence under the basket and will be difficult to guard. He is important for the defense of the team as well, as alongside him there will be other big guys. Miko Golubovic and Dejan Mikic will Lukovic with their experience as well and will be important for the team. Marjan Janeski is also a player who is going to get some minutes guarding the paint.
Head coach Ljubislav Lukovic has built a good and strong team with Kostoski and Dimcevski being the leaders. As we mentioned perhaps the biggest advantage for the team is the support of the home fans so no one should be surprised if KK Kumanovo wins all of its games at home. The team has the quality to advance to top 6 and will be aiming to do so.   KK Kumanovo 2009 is in group A with the teams of BC Galil Gilboa, BC Levski, KK Mornar and KK Djuro Djakovic.
