Team on Focus: BC Kavala

BC Kavala is going to be the first Greek team to participate in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The newcomers are joining the league for this season and will be looking to be one of the best teams. BC Kavala made a good squad with some good young players and will be one of the teams to watch in the competition.
Experienced Chritoforos Stefanidis will be the main point guard of the team. He is the oldest player in the squad and will be given the keys to run the team. The problem is he doesn′t have a decent substitute as the other players in this position are very young like Petros Velissariou so the likes of Jeremy Fears or somebody else will have to get minutes at the point guard as well.
BC Kavala looks very good on the wing with Fears being one of the main guys. The other American James Nunnally will also be very important for the team as well as Nikolaos Stilianou. Bosnian Nemanja Mitrovic will also be available on those two position and Simeon Iliev might play some minutes as well.
In the frontcourt BC Kavala has good size and a few players that have to share the minutes. Sotirios Manolopoulos, Bojan Krstevski and William Coleman look to be the players that will get most of the playing time. However Steven Panos and Dimitris Kalabakas will also fight for minutes and will challenge the other on the court.
BC Kavala is in group B with the teams of BC Rilski Sportist, KK Kozuv, KK Teodo and OKK Beograd. The team lost in the first round of local championship so will be looking to bounce back and win the first game on Wednesday against Rilski. BC Kavala looks as one of the strongest teams in the competition and will be aiming to at least go to top 6.
