Shay Shtriks: The 5th edition of EUROHOLD BIBL will be a great one!

Dear Basketball fans, players, coaches and basketball lovers,

This week we start the fifth EUROHOLD Balkan League season. All of us are very excited and waiting for the first jump ball that will take place on 16.10.2012 in Belgrade with the game OKK Beograd - KK Kozuv.

This season we have 4 new clubs and 1 that returned after a season of absence. To KK Djuro Djakovic (Slavonski Brod), BC Kavala (Kavala), KK Kumanovo (Kumanovo), KK Kozuv (Gevgelija), KK Teodo (Tivat),  I would like to say welcome to the BIBL family and good luck!

To the rest 5 teams: the champion - BC Galil Gilboa (Gan Ner), BC Levski (Sofia), BC Rilski Sportist, KK Mornar (Bar), OKK Beograd (Belgrade) I would like to say we are happy that you trust our competition and you continue with us in our 5th season.

The 5th season of EUROHOLD Balkan League will be very strong and interesting. We changed the system in  1st stage, 2^nd stage and F4 which makes the league very interesting and gives equal possibility to all the clubs to play until the last round. There are total of 70 games where each team will have at least 12 games and those that will qualify to F4 - 16 games. 

10 teams from 7 countries - this is the strongest part of the EUROHOLD Balkan League. We have 2 new countries - Greece with BC Kavala - strong and reliable team, and Croatia with young and ambitious team - KK Djuro Djakovic. Both of them will contribute to have a very competitive season.

We as a League, will concentrate this year on the 3 major issues - fair games, players, coaches and spectators;  marketing development, including promotion of the hosting city; 100% Live games in the internet - Sportmedia TV and BIBL TV.

We will continue to support young referees and with the senior and experienced referees have from all the countries, the games will be officiated in the most honest and clean way.

Our people will work as until now to support the teams and to provide to all the basketball fans an interesting and strong basketball League.

This season the way to the F4 that will take place in one of the Balkan countries, between 19-21.04.2013 will be quite challenging and difficult. All the teams have the equal start, possibility and quality.
