The second week of action in EUROHOLD Balkan League continues with three more games today. One game from group A and two from group B will round up the weekly action from the tournament.
In group A KK Mornar will host the champion BC Galil Gilboa in its first home match of the season. Both teams started last week in the tournament but with different success. KK Mornar lost away at KK Kumanovo 2009 by just two poiints while BC Galil Gilboa defeated KK Djuro Djakovic at home. The team from Bar will now look to take the first win but it is going to be very difficult. However the home side for this match will make it tough for the visitors and will do everything to take the win. In the first match Andrej Pajovic finished with 14 points while 12 apiece added Mihailo Sekulovic and Milos Djurisic. They will be the main threat for the team from Gan Ner once again today.
BC Galil is coming to this match after a hard loss in the local championship. The team started with two losses and the only win came against KK Djuro Djakovic last week. Amit Simchon had 13 points in the win while 12 and 7 rebounds added Nimrod Tishman. The team is not playing very well from the start of the season and will have to improve in order to take the win.
BC Kavala will host OKK Beograd in group B for both teams second match in the tournament. The home side won last week while OKK lost at home. BC Kavala had a hard fought victory against Rilski Sportist and at the end the margin was just two points. This was the first ever game for the team in a European competition and for the home fans was important just to take the victory. Today the game probably will be different and BC Kavala will be looking for a bigger win. Jeremy Fears was the team top scorer with 20 points last week as 11 apiece added Nemanja Mitrovic and James Nunnally.
OKK was the only team playing at home that lost in the first week. The team was defeated by KK Kozuv after being down most of the time. Now OKK will have to try and win in Kavala in order to stay in the hunt for one of the top three places in the group. Milorad Sutulovic had 16 points for the team in the loss and Ivan Marinkovic added 11.
The last game of this week will see KK Kozuv host BC Rilski Sportist. In this third match of the day once again the teams are coming to it after different results in the first round. KK Kozuv defeated away OKK Beograd after leading for most of the time and holding on at the end. Dimitar Karadjovski had 17 points in the victory and now will go out against his former team looking to lead the new one to another win. KK Kozuv will rely on the support of the home fans
BC Rilski Sportist was very close to surprising BC Kavala away but at the end the potential game winner came short. However the team from Samokov played a good overall game and will be looking to built on the momentum for tonight′s match. Branko Mirkovic is expected to return to the line up but he is still not 100% after his injury. In the first round of the local league Rilski lost heavily to Balkan and now has to step up to delete the memory of this bad loss.
