BC Galil Gilboa with big win against Mornar

The current champion in EUROHOLD Balkan League - BC Galil Gilboa, took a big win in the second week of action in the league. In a match from group A the team from Gan Ner defeated KK Mornar away 80-49. The visitors took a good lead after the first quarter and then great in the second one to built big advantage that was even increased more until the end. BC Galil Gilboa will host KK Kumanovo 2009 next week on October 31st while KK Mornar visits KK Djuro Djakovic a day earlier on October 30th.

The game was even in the first minutes but a 10-0 run for the visitors gave them 11-point advantage. From then on BC Galil Gilboa didn′t have any problems and at the end of the first quarted had 21-11 lead. In the second one the win was secured with outstanding defense. The home side scored just 2 points in that quarter compared to 20 for the visiting team that took an incredible advantage of 28 points, 41-13 after the first half.

BC Galil Gilboa didn′t stop after the break and even took a 42-point lead. The team was holding on to the advantage and after the end of the third quarter it was 36 points. In the last minutes KK Mornar managed to cut some of the deficit but still it was a big win for the visiting side.

KK Mornar had an awful shooting night with 26%. The team attempted 65 field goals and scored 17 of them while BC Galil Gilboa was 29 of 54 from the field for 54%.

Dagan Yivzori was the top scorer for the wiinners with 17 points while Amit Beir-Katz had 13. For the hosts Lazar Radosavljevic finished with 14 points and 7 had Milija Mikovic.
