BC Rilski Sportist with an important away win

BC Rilski Sportist took its first win in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Samokov played a great fourth quarter and that helped to take an away victory against KK Kozuv with 99-76. The game was very even for the first three quarters but in the last one the visitors showed better play and won the game. Next match for Rilski Sportist is at home against OKK on November 6th while next week on October 30th KK Kozuv will host BC Kavala.
Both teams were exchanging baskets in the first quarter and there were a lot of changes in the lead. The biggest advantage was just 3 points for the hosts and 4 for the visitors but no one could hold it for a long time. This kind of play continued for the whole first quarter which finished 22-21 for KK Kozuv.
The match continued to be very close in the second quarter as well and no team could take a lead for a long time in the first minutes of it. However Rilski made a 6-0 run and with three minutes to go went up by 5 points and later the advantage was 6 points. The players of KK Kozuv though responded well to this and with two points by Dimitar Karadjovski just before the buzzer tied the score at 47 after the first 20 minutes. 
The third quarter was no different to the first two as both team continued to be even and exchanged baskets. This was the case untl the final minutes when Rilski managed to take a slim advantage going on to the fourth period. The team from Samokov made a nice run and went up 66-62 after 30 minutes.
The last quarter started with 9-2 run for the visitors and they took 11-point lead. From then on Rilski not only kept the advantage but even increased it further and at the end took a big victory.
Terry Smith had 28 points for the winners and Branko Mirkovic added 16. Rilski shot amazing 67%  from the three point line with 11 made out of 18 attempted shots.
For the home team Slobodan Bozovic and Miladin Pekovic had 16 points apiece.
