Domestic leagues: Levski won, Rilski lost in the second round

BC Levski Sofia took its second victory while BC Rilski Sportist recorded second loss in the second round of their championship. Both teams are participating in EUROHOLD Balkan League this season but have started in a different way their league.
First Levski defeated Balkan 90-71 at home in an interesting game. Both teams fought from the start and at the half The Blues had a 1-point lead. In the third quarter the team managed to take a 14-point advantage but Balkan came back to 5 points. In the final minutes Levski had the better of two teams and won this important game.
Marko Marinovic was the top scorer for the winners with 28 points while Pavel Ivanov had 16.
BC Rilski Sportist lost at home to the champion Lukoil Academic 77-89. The champions started the match better and led by 10 points after one quarter. At halftime the guests were 20 points ahead and they already had the victory secured. In the beginning of the final period Lukoil led by 24 and even though Rilski had a 14-0 run, the team only shrank its deficit.
For the home side Terry Smith had 22 points while Branko Mirkovic had 20.
