KK Teodo won its first ever game in EUROHOLD Balkan League

KK Teodo (Tivat, MNE) made an impressive debut in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team played its first ever game in the competition and defeated OKK Beograd (Belgrade, SER) 80-70. This means that the team from Tivat started with a win in group B while this is the third straight loss for OKK. Next game for KK Teodo is next week on November 6th at home against KK Kozuv while OKK will visit BC Rilski Sportist on the same day.
The visitors had slightly better start to the game and had the lead in the first minutes. However it wasn′t a big one and shortly after the middle of the first quarter OKK was up 16-11. From then on to the end of it the visitors didn′t score a single point while Teodo finished on a 12-0 run and took a 23-16 lead after ten minutes.
The hosts had the advantage for the whole second quarter and didn′t allow OKK to come very close. Once at the start of it the visitors cut the deficit to 4 points but this didn′t happen again. With three minutes to play in the quarter Savo Djikanovic scored to make the first doube digit advantage for Teodo but later OKK scored the last points and the home team had a 37-30 lead after the first half.
KK Teodo played very strong in the third quarter which decided the game. With a little more than 5 minutes to play in it the hosts had 47-39 advantage. Then the made another big run and after scoring 17 unanswered points and the lead went up to 25 points. The quarter finished with two straight three-pointers for OKK and at the end of it Teodo still had very big advantage - 64-45.
Without any problems the hosts held on to their lead in the last ten minutes. They did allow OKK to reduce the deficit near the end of the game but the vicory was never in doubt. With little bit more than three minutes to play in the game Teodo had 17 point advantage and in the last few minutes it went down to 10.
Aleksandar Radulovic finished with a double double for the winners with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Good game had also Marko Mijovic and Savo Djikanovic as both scored 16 points.
For the visitors double double has Nikola Jeftic with 13 points and 11 rebounds while 11 points scored Ivan Marinkovic.
