First win for KK Mornar in EUROHOLD Balkan League

First win in group A of EUROHOLD Balkan League took KK Mornar (Bar,MNE). The team defeated at home KK Kumanovo 2009 (Kumanovo, MKD) 92-71 and kept a small chance of reaching the next round. KK Kumanovo now has a 3-2 record and on December 4th will play BC Galil Gilboa at home. Meanwhile KK Mornar will host KK Djuro Djakovic in one week time.
In the first half the teams were very evenly matched and exchanged baskets and leads. None of them could take a big lead and at the halftime break Mornar had a 3-point lead.
Shortly after the middle of the third quarter the hosts led by just two points but then started a good run. They scored 9 straight points and took a double digit advantage that managed to keep until the end of the quarter which finished 67-57.
In the last quarter Kumanovo cut the deficit to 6 points but the hosts responded with a 5-0 run that gave them back a double digit lead. From then on Mornar controlled the game and scored the last 7 points of the match and won by 21.
The hosts had a good shooting night and scored 11 three pointers from 26 attempts. The visitors were just 3 from 15 for 20% and missed also 11 free throws from 23 attempted.
Vukota Pavic finished with 21 points and 8 rebounds while 19 points had Miroslav Damjanovic.   For the visitors Uros Lukovic had a double double with 22 points and 14 rebounds in just 18 minutes before fouling out as Marjan Janeski added 17 points.
