KK Kozuv defeated OKK Beograd at home

KK Kozuv (Gevgelija, MKD) took its third win in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League and made the battle in for the Top 6 very interesting. The team defeated OKK Beograd (Belgrade, SER) at home 82-77 and killed all the opponent′s chances of advancing. KK Kozuv is still in the hunt for a top 3 finish in the group with 3-3 record while OKK has 5 losses from 5 games and practically no chance of advancing. Next game for KK Kozuv on December 5th when the team visits BC Kavala while a week later OKK will host Kavala in Belgrade.
After an even first quarter in which the teams exchanged leads and baskets Kozuv pulled away in the second. The team started it on a 10-0 run that made the score 31-19 and gave the hosts a good advantage. Quickly OKK scored 7 straight points that put them down to just 6 but Kozuv responded with an 8-0 run and the lead went up to 13. Until the end of the first half the hosts kept their advantage but it went down as the score was 43-34 after 20 minutes.
In the third quarter the margin was cut to 5 points but then went up to 11. However OKK didn′t stop to fight in this match and later the defecit went down to just 4 points and it stayed so after the end of it - 58-54 in favour of Kozuv.
In the last quarter OKK completed the come back and with less than two minutes in to it they took a 5-point lead. It went up to 6 points moments later and Kozuv made a 7-0 run. A few more changes of the lead followed and with two minutes to play the visitors were up by a points. In the decisive moment the hosts scored 8 straight points that were enough for the victory as in the end Filip Sepa scored for the visitors to set the final score.
Miladin Pekovic had 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winners while Pero Blazevski added 15 points.
For the visitors Vladimir Popovic finished with 15 points and Milos Pavlovic had 14.
