KK Teodo kept the first place in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League after defeating BC Rilski Sportist at home 84-74. After this interesting game here is what the two head coaches had to say about it:
Slobodan Savovic, head coach of KK Teodo: "Of course I′m very happy with the win. The hard work my our players put in paid off in the best possible way. We got the maximum from the first four home games and this is good for us but of course in front is nothing else than a very very hard work for the team. I want to thank our fans who like every time were very good. We knew we could play against them, we knew we may have some downs in our game but in the second half our players showed that they have quality. They showed how you play for one team and how you fight for it. This win is all theirs and I hope we will continue to work like that."
Rosen Barchovski, head coach of BC Rilski Sportist: "A deserved victory for KK Teodo. They played very well with high energy and emotion and they deserved to defeat us. The main advantages was under the basket as they took a lot of rebounds. We had 19 mistakes which was too much and some of our best players didn′t play on their top. Our team was very tired after a series of tough games and a long trip but we knew that playing in two competition would be very hard. In the first half Teodo was under pressure and didn′t play well and we had the chance while being fresh. We had a 5 point lead, lost it after two mistakes and in the second half we didn′t have the strenght. I want to congratulate Teodo, also Savo Djikanovic who at 37 years of age scored 20 points and this explains why he is stil playing."
