Domestic leagues: Dramatic win for Rilski Sportist, easy one for Levski

A very dramatic win in the national league took the team of Rilski Sportist. It was the fifth straight victory for the squad from Samokov and it came in a very dramatic way. Rilski defeated Yambol 83-82 at home after a Hristo Zahariev scored a free throw with 0.2 second left to play and the team now has 5 wins and 2 losses.

With 15 seconds to go in the game Yambol took a 3-point lead. Then Terry Smith tied the score with a three-pointer and after the visitors missed there was still time for a fast break. Zahariev was fouled and he scored only the second free throw to give the win to Rilski.

Terry Smith was the top scorer for the winners with 22 points while Hristo Zahariev added 17 and 9 rebounds.

Much easier game had the team of Levski. The Blues from Sofia hosted Cherno more Port Varna and won 100-66. The team had no problems in ousting the opponent and had a big victory.

Top scorer in the game was Dimitar Anguelov with 20 points as Nikolay Varbanov finished with 17.
