Konstantin Papazov: The game against BC Galil Gilboa will be very important and very good for us

On Thursday, 6th of December, BC Levski (Sofia, BUL) will host BC Galil Gilboa (Gan Ner, ISR). The game is from group A of EUROHOLD Balkan League and is expected with huge interest because it is a rematch of last season′s final. The game will be broadcasted live in both countries - Bulgarian BNT World and Israeli ONE. Here is what head coach of BC Levski - Konstantin Papazov had to say just few days before the match:
"It is a game that is a partial revenge for the final of EUROHOLD Balkan League that we lost last season. Both teams are very different from that game but it will remain in the history as a very good final, very interesting one and of course very sad for us.
Once again we have set a goal for us to reach the highest level in the competition or at least to repeat the final. For the realization of that goal it goes through a victory in Sofia. Without doubt those are the two most serious names in the league - those of the champion and the finalist from last season and we have to defend that position. This requires for us to give our maximum and I think there is no doubt in that. After the loss to Rilski Sportist we made a lot of conclusions that helped us and despite playing against the lower teams in our league we could see the difference in the aggression and the attitude of the players during the games.  For sure the aggression is changed in a very big way after the match with Rilski and not only during training but we can see it during the games as well. I′m hoping this will help us. We haven′t played in our gym for a very long time and we are coming back home. I believe that we will succeed. This will be a very important and good game for us.
BC Galil Gilboa has a very different roster with a lot of new American players and after a bad start they are now doing better. In their games in EUROHOLD Balkan League they control them in a very good way and as champions it is normal for them to try and defend their name. The team had some changes since the start of the season and had two straight wins in the Israeli league after losing 6 games in a row before that. I′m sure that it′s going to be a very tough game. We have a lot of video material from their games and I have no doubt in the work of my assistants and their analysis of the strong and weak sides of Galil Gilboa and we start our work from today. We will try to limit the good sides of our opponent and try to hurt them in their weak ones.
I′m convinced that the good spirit in the Blue fans has returned after the two good wins from the football team and they will have no problem to attend this game on Thursday. I also have an information that the football players of Levski can come to the game as well but it depends on their schedule for the week. For us it′s very important to bring back the fans to the gym and this can happen only with our good play."
