Rilski Sportist gave no chance to Teodo and won at home

BC Rilski Sportist (Samokov, BUL) recorded its fourth win in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team handed KK Teodo (Tivat, MNE) first loss of the competition after winning 87-67. This victory puts Rilski with 4-2 record while now Teodo has 4-1. The hosts played better defense that stopped their opponents and it won the game. Next week Teodo will visit KK Kozuv in Gevgelija while Rilski is playing at OKK on December 18th.

Rilski Sportist made two good runs in the first quarter that helped the team take the lead. First after 9 straight points the hosts went up 15-9 and then Teodo scored a basket. After it Rilski made a 7-0 run and the lead became 11 points with the score 22-11. The hosts continued to have the advantage as it was 26-17 after ten minutes. In the second quarter it was as high as 15 points but Teodo cut it down to 9. Terry Smith answered with a 3-pointer for the hosts, Savo Djikanovic scored for the visitors and then Hristo Zahariev added the final basket of the first half which finished 48-36 for Rilski Sportist.

In the middle of the third quarter the hosts made another run. They scored 8 straight points and took the score to 60-40. In the next minutes of the quarter they had the big advantage, controlled the game and at the end if it were up 65-50. In the last quarter the lead went up to 27 points and Rilski secured the win very early.

Terry Smith was the top scorer with 19 points as Anthony Gugino added 17 and 11 rebounds.

For the visitors Savo Djikanovic had 18 points and 11 apiece added Manuel Johnson and Aleksandar Radulovic.
