KK Kozuv won its last game in group B, keeps alive the chances for Top 6

KK Kozuv (Gevgelija, MKD) won its last game of the first phase of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team was victorious at home against KK Teodo (Tivat, MNE) by 84-71 and with this keep its chances of qualifying for Top 6 of the competition. Kozuv finished group B with 4 wins and 4 losses and must wait on other results to see if it will advance. The team also has the advantage in a potential tie with today′s opponent having lost by 7 points the first game. Teodo now has 4 wins and 2 losses and next week will visit Kavala on December 19th.

The hosts won the game with a very strong last quarter. In the first three both teams exchanged lead but none of the was able to pull away by a lot. In the third Kozuv went up by 7 points but Teodo answered with a 13-0 run that put them ahead by 6 points. At the end of the quarter the team was up by 5 points but lost all the advantage early in the last one. Kozuv made an 11-0 run shortly after the start and took a 6 point lead. Then the visitors pulled back to just 1 points but until the end of the game couldn′t take the lead. Kozuv controlled the match in the final minutes and won. 

Slobodan Bozovic had a great game for the winners and finished with 31 points after making 5 three pointers from 5 attempts. Igor Mijajlovic also played well and added 13 points and 6 assists while 8 points had Miladin Pekovic and Aleksandar Shterjov.

For the visitors Savo Djikanovic finished with 16 points and 6 rebounds as Srdjan Subotic added 15 points.
