No problems for Levski against Kumanovo 2009 at home

BC Levski (Sofia, BUL) recorded it fourth win in group A of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Blues hosted KK Kumanovo (Kumanovo, MKD) and won 103-66 after taking the lead in a strong first quarter and holding on for the victory. The visitors were without for of their main players as Ivica Dimcevski, Uros Lukovic, Vladimir Georgievski and Darko Stanimirovic didn′t arrive in Sofia. This victory puts Levski with a 4-1 record while Kumanovo is at 4-3. The Blues from Sofia now have the advantage in a potential tie between the team as the won by a bigger margin that they lost in Kumanovo. Next game for Levski is on December 20th at home against KK Mornar while KK Kumanovo will visit KK Djuro Djakovic on January 16th for the last match for both teams in the first phase.

Levski had a good start to the game and after a 9-0 run took a 19-7 lead shortly after the middle of the first quarter. In the last three minutes of it they scored 7 straight points and went up by 17 at 28-11. In the second quarter the hosts continued to have control of the game and the advantage went over 20 points. The difference between the team was in that area until the end of the half which came at 57-34.

In the middle of the third quarter the visitors made a 9-0 run that cut their deficit to 14 points. However Levski responded after that, once again increased the advantage and after 30 minutes the team was up 74-52. The hosts didn′t stop to push their opponent in the last quarter despite the big difference. Levski played very good defense in the last ten minutes and increased their advantage to 37 points at the final buzzer. 
 
Top scorer for the winners was Marko Marinovic with 22 points. Nikolay Varbanov finished the game with 16 while Chavdar Kostov added 13.

For the visitors Aleksandar Kostoski finished with 14 points as 13 apiece scored Marjian Mladenovic and Dejan Mikic.
