BC Levski defeated easily KK Kumanovo 2009 at home 103-66 in a group A game of EUROHOLD Balkan League. Here is what both head coaches said after this match:
Konstantin Papazov, head coach of BC Levski: "One difference
from this game and the one in Kumanovo is in 5000 people. There we were missing Nikolay Varbanov and Pavel Ivanov as this time they missed some players. I′m happy we managed a high rhythm during the whole game. This of course is a consequence of our good work. In this game due to the shorter bench our opponent couldn′t keep up with our pace. Our goal is to play every game like this one. When we are playing with such an aggression it leads to many turnovers from our opponents."   Ljubislav Lukovic, head coach of KK Kumanovo 2009: "First I want to congratulate the team of Levski for the win they deserved. They are one of the most quality teams in the competiton with two players at every position. The head coach Papazov has made a good team, used a deep rotation and we couldn′t answer their agressive play on defense. They were closing on our first pаss. The first quarter was the most important and actually decided the game. There is no excuse despite the fact we didn′t have 5 players in Sofia. We have one match against Djuro Djakovic which could be decisive for a qualification in top 6.
We are happy to be a part of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team was made to play in two competitions and as we see there are very quality teams and probably our group is better than the other one. We want to move on to next round and once again to meet Levski, why not during Final 4."
