BC Kavala (Kavala, GRE) won a thriller at home in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team defeated KK Teodo (Tivat, MNE) 89-85 after being down by 26 points in the first half. After this game both teams have 4 wins and 3 losses. In the final round Kavala will visit Rilski Sportist while Teodo is playing away at OKK Beograd.

The first 4 points of the game were for the hosts but Teodo answered with a 12-0 run and took the lead. In the next minutes the visitors continued to have an advantage and after 8 straight points it even went up to 14 with more than a minute to play in the quarter which finished 30-18 for Teodo. The good play of the visitors went on in the second quarter and there lead increased. After Igor Kunjic scored a three pointer the advantage of Teodo went to a 26 points with little more that three minutes to play in the first half. However Kavala finished it on a 12-1 run and cut the deficit to 15 points after the first 20 minutes.

Three minutes after the start of the second half Teodo held an 18-point lead. At this point the comeback of Kavala started as the hosts made a 17-0 run in more than four minutes and cut the deficit to just 1 point. Until the end of the third quarter the hosts didn′t take the lead but were close to their opponent and tied the game at 66 after Anthony Grundy 3-pointer.

The last quarter and especially the final minutes were a real thriller. After a Yannis Gagaloudis three-pointer the hosts went up by 4 points with 03.30 minutes to play. The visitors answered with a 5-0 run in the next minute as they took the lead. Then Kavala first tied the scored and in the next offense Steve Panos put the team ahead after a basket. Teodo wasn′t done as with 46 seconds to play Aleksandar Radulovic scored a triple that gave once again the lead to the team from Tivat but Gagaloudis answered with a basket and one free throw. Then Marko Mijovic missed from the 3 point line and William Coleman dunked in the last second to set up the final score.

Anthony Grundy was the top scorer for the winners with 20 points dishing out 8 assists as well. William Coleman added 17 points and 7 rebounds while Yannis Gagaloudis added 16 points.

For the visitors Aleksandar Radulovic had 23 points and 9 rebounds while Marko Mijovic scored 14 points and made 7 assists.
