The last game in EUROHOLD Balkan League for year 2012 finished with a victory for BC Levski (Sofia, BUL). The Blues hosted KK Mornar (Bar, MNE) and won 92-67. By this Levski now has 5 wins and 1 loss while the team from Bar finished the first phase with 1-7 record. In the next two games The Blues will visit KK Djuro Djakovic on January 8th and then Galil Gilboa on January 15th.
Both teams exchanged baskets in the first two minutes but then Levski made a 13-0 run that put the team ahead. The home team kept its lead until the end of the first quarter and in the second it went up to 22 points. However Mornar didn′t give up in those minutes and cut the deficit to 9 points after finishing the first half on a 7-0 run.
The third quarter opened with a triple for the visitors but in the middle of it Levski went up by 14 points. The Mornar answered with a 10-2 run that once again cut the deficit to 6 points and after 30 minutes the hosts led 63-55. In the last quarter Levski never gave a chance to the visitors as the team played very good defense. The difference went over 20 points and finished off the match with a nice win.
Top scorer for the winners was Dimitar Dimitrov with 25 points as Nikolay Varbanov added a double double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
For the visitors Andrej Pajovic had 19 points while Nikola Rondovic scored 17.
