Domestic leagues: Levski with a flying start of the new year

BC Levski made a flying start to the new year in the Bulgarian championship. The Blues from Sofia won away in the tough gym of Balkan after final score 69-52. This was in important win for the team that how has a 9-2 record and holds on to the second place in the standings.
Levski took the lead at the end of the first quarter and never surrender it until the end. At one point in the third quarter Balkan tied the score at 45 points and after Marko Marinovic drained a triple at the buzzer at the end of it, Levski was up 51-47. In the last quarter Balkan didn′t score in the first six and a half minutes and The Blues already built a 15-point lead that decided the game.
Marko Marinovic finished the game with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assissts while Nikolay Varbanov had 11 points and 9 rebounds.
