Domestic leagues: Rilski Sportist lost away to the champions

BC Rilski Sportist lost its first game of the new year. The team from Samokov was beaten away by the champions Lukoil Academic by a score 96-84. Despite the defeat Rilski is still on third place in the standings with 7 wins and 4 losses.
Lukoil Academic had the lead for the whole game but didn′t managed to pull away by much. Rilski never gave up in this match but just didn′t have the possibility to turn the result in its favour.
Branko Mirkovic was the top scorer for the visitors with 20 points. Terry Smith also had a good game and finished with 18 points while Hristo Zahariev added 17.
