Both games of the last round in group A of EUROHOLD Balkan League are very important for the final standings and for the next phase. BC Galil Gilboa host BC Levski in a rematch from last season′s final game while Djuro Djakovic is welcoming Kumanovo 2009 to fight for the last spot in Top 6 from this group.
Galil Gilboa and Levski have 5 wins and 2 losses so far and this game will decide the winner in the group. It will be a direct battle between the two top teams who are already qualified for the next phase. This means that the result from this match will count for Top 6 and this is what makes it very important as well. Both squads are coming to this match after victories in their championships and their confidence will be high. In the first game in Sofia Levski played better and won by 8 points although the team had a lead as big as 20 points. Now The Blues are returning to the gym where they played good and were very close to lifting the trophy in EUROHOLD Balkan League last season. The team will want some revenge for that but for sure on the other hand Galil Gilboa will want revenge for the loss in Sofia which will make the game very very interesting.
The other match is of even greater importance as it will decide the third team in this group and the one that will qualify for Top 6. KK Djuro Djakovic is hosting KK Kumanovo 2009 with the need to win by at least 16 points in order to advance. The team from Slavonski Brod lost the first game by the same margin so now it has to win by 16 to progress. Probably the hosts will have the advantage of having already played two official games in the new 2013 while Kumanovo is without a game in January. However the visitors are coming to this big game motivated and will be aiming to do enough to qualify. This match should also be very very interesting and one to watch until the last second.
