Kumanovo 2009 with important away win in the home of Teodo, the visitors had a great shooting night

KK Kumanovo 2009 started very well the Top 6 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team one for first time away from home this season after beating KK Teodo in its own gym by 95-77. This is important victory for Kumanovo as the team now has 3 wins and 2 losses in the second stage while Teodo is 2-3. In the next round on February 12th KK Kumanovo will visit Rilski Sportist in Samokov while Teodo will play away against Galil Gilboa a day later. The visitors had a great shooting percentage which secured them the victory. They shot 75% from the 3-point lane making 15 out of 20 attempts and the hosts just couldn′t fight against that. 
 
The hosts had a very good start to the game and scored the first 8 points in it but soon Kumanovo cut the deficit. After four minutes of play the visitors came close to just a single point and with two left in the first quarter were already up after Aleksandar Kostoski scored a three-pointer. The visitors kept their lead in the next minutes and after ten the score was 21-17 for Kumanovo.

The visitors had the advantage for the first three and a half minutes of the second quarter but it wasn′t big. Teodo made a 6-0 run with which they went in front and even took a 5-point lead. Soon though Kumanovo scored 10 straight points and suddenly they were up by 7. Igor Kunjic scored a triple and then Aleksandar Radulovic added two free throws as the deficit was cut to just 2 points after the first 20 minutes, 42-44.

Kumanovo started very well after the break and after scoring the first 8 points their lead went up to 10. In the next minutes the visitors continued to play better and not only managed to hold on the their advantage but increased it further. Their lead went up to 16 points but until the end of the quarter Teodo managed to cut some of it and after 30 minutes Kumanovo led 69-58. In the final quarter the visitors had total control of the game and continued to built their lead and it went up to 23 points. In the last minutes Kumanovo relaxed a little and it allowed the hosts to cut the deficit at the end.

Aleksandar Kostoski was the top scorer for the winers with 22 points while Ivica Dimcevski added 21 making 5 triples from 5 attempted. Marjan Janeski also had a good game with 15 points.

For the hosts best on the court was Sinisa Tepavcevic who finished with 30 points and 5 assists. Savo Djikanovic added 12 points and 9 rebounds while Igor Kunjic also had 12 points.
