Djuro Djakovic took off with a win in the second stage

Now it′s certain that Djuro Djakovic and Kozuv will be fighting for the first place in the Last 4 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. In the second game of this stage Djuro Djakovic (Slavonski Brod, CRO) won 99-90 away against OKK Beograd (Belgrade, SER) and has now 3 wins and 0 defeats. Kozuv has the same record which means that the matches between those teams will determine which one will finish first in the Last 4 and 7th overall in the standings. On February 20th Djuro Djakovic will meet Kozuv at home while a day earlier OKK will face Mornar away with both teams having no chance for the first place.

In the first minutes the team had a small advantage but after they made a 10-1 run to finish the first quarter they had an 11-point lead at 27-16. The visitors continued to have the advantage in the second one as well but at one point the hosts cut down the deficit to 6 points. The home team played very good third quarter and managed to come back in the game. Top scorer for the winners was Matej Karlovic with 26 points as he added 6 rebounds as well. Marino Sarljia had 22 points and 7 rebounds while Hrvoje Puljko added 19 points.
For the home team Vladimir Popovic had 17 points while Nikola Jeftic added 13. Great game had Vuk Malidzan who was very close to a triple double finishing with 12 points, 14 assists and 9 rebounds.
