Domestic leagues: Kozuv moved to the top, Kumanovo lost for first time at home

KK Kozuv moved to the top of the standings in the local league while KK Kumanovo 2009 suffered its first home defeat of the season. It was the first round of the championship for the new year and after the games Kozuv holds the first position with 8 wins and 2 losses while Kumanovo are 4th with a 6-4 record.
Kozuv was victorious away against ABA Strumica by a score 91-83. After the first half the home team had a singled point advantage but the visitors played a superb third quarter, won it 30-12 and eventually took the victory. Top scorer was Dimitar Karadjovski with 21 points while Slobodan Bozovic added 20 and Igor Mijalovic had 18.
In the same time Kumanovo had its first home defeat of the season after losing to Lirija 78-79. The hosts were on the verge of winning after having a 12-point lead after 30 minutes. In the last quarter though the visitors mounted a comeback and it was successful as they won the match by a single point. Double doube for Kumanovo had Uros Lukovic who finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony Lee-Ingram had 16 points while 14 added Ivica Dimcevski.
