Galil Gilboa with first win in the Top 6 in a high scoring game

BC Galil Gilboa recorded its first win in Top 6 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The current champions hosted KK Teodo in Gan Ner and won 102-92. Thanks to this victory Galil now has 3 wins and 3 losses in the second stage and is tied with Rilski Sportist, Kavala and Kumanovo 2009. In the same time Teodo remains the only team without a win in Top 6 and has 2-4 record. Next game for Galil Gilboa is away at BC Kavala on March 5th while a day later Teodo will visit BC Levski in Sofia.
Galil started well and never trailed in the game. After a 10-0 run the team went on to an 18-5 lead and kept it until the end of the first quarter. The second one was high scoring for both teams as Galil′s advantage never came below 10 points. At one point the hosts made an 8-0 run and the lead went up to 20. However Teodo did cut some of the deficit and at the break the difference was 12 points.
With three minutes played in the third quarter the visitors closed to 8 points. For the whole quarter the margin was around 10 points and at the end of it it was 7. The first basket for the last one was for the visitors as they cut the deficit to 5 points. However this was the closest they went as Galil responded with an 8-2 run to increase the advantage, The lead in that quarter went as high as 17 points and in the last six minutes the hosts had no problem finishing off the game.
Jamar Smith was the top scorer in the game with 31 points as he made 7 three pointers out of 9 attempts. Dagan Yivzori added 21 points and 16 and 6 rebounds had Rakim Sanders.
For the visitors Marko Mijovic had a double double of 27 points and 11 assists. Savo Djikanovic had 15 points and 6 rebounds while Aleksandar Radulovic and Srdjan Subotic added 14 points apiece.
