BC Levski won in Kavala 77-73 and moved to the first place in Top 6 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The game was very interesting from start to finish and both teams had the chance to win. Here is what some of the main participants had to say after the end of the match:

Giorgos Bitzanis, assistant coach of BC Kavala: "First of all congratulation to Levski. We knew from the beginning that they are a very good team and one of the best ones in the tournament. We had the opportunity to win in the last offense but unfortunately we made a mistake. Also we knew that after our positive results against Galil Gilboa two weeks ago we should have won this match as well. We made a lot of crucial mistakes in our defense in one on one. We had a lot of problems in the offense as well as we didn′t expect such a performance. We have a lot of ambitions in this league and we are hoping to improve our performance and enter the Final 4."

David Tairu, player of BC Kavala: "We could have done a lot more things better. I′m very happy to be here. It was my first game as I′ve been here for three days and I′m still trying to get adjusted. Now we have to prepare for Saturday, work hard in practice and get the victory in this big game for us."

Konstantin Papazov, head coach of BC Levski: "First I want to apologize to one of the guys behind the official table. My reaction was due to the big motivation. We controlled the game for 38 minutes and I think we deserved to win it. Overall I think Kavala has bigger experience as a team as they have been a lot of times in such situations and also the crowd helped them in the last minutes so I′m very happy because this win helps us to be on first place in Top 6 and we defeated one of the best teams in it. Kavala changed a lot of players this season and I respect a lot the new coach because he has a big heart. I knew him like player who always put his heart on the court and he wants his players to do the same. Kavala is better team than those around them in the local league and it doesn′t deserve to be on that place. I think when we play in Sofia it will be a more difficult game because I′m sure the team will make good results and those 30 days will help the coach to prepare better team, to have better chemistry and to prepare better offense. I′m very happy that the crowd was very correct with was especially when the name of Chavdar Kostov was announced who feels like home here. I wish to Kavala to avoid the relegation because I′m sure the team has the level to be in first 8 in the local championship.′′ 

Chavdar Kostov, player of BC Levski: "I think it was a very interesting game. We started a little bit bad but then started to play aggressive game and we took the lead. In the end though Kavala showed the same play, the fans helped them to come back and tie the game. In the final minute we just made good shot and won. I think Kavala is very good team and they will make some nice things in the league."
