Kumanovo 2009 stays perfect at home, now with four wins in Top 6

KK Kumanovo 2009 continues to be without a loss in its home gym in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team recorded another win after beating BC Kavala by 94-92 in an important game from Top 6. With the victory Kumanovo how has 4 wins and 3 losses whle Kavala is with a 3-4 record. The home team managed to built its advantage steadily throughout all four quarters and at the end was victorious to the delight of the fans. They almost gave up a big lead in the final minutes but in the end kept a small advantage and won. Without doubt this was the best game of the season so far in EUROHOLD Balkan League. Both teams played very good basketball and the referees were on a high level as well. The gym was packed and there were people who watched the game standing on their feet. The atmosphere also contributed well enough and after such a night everybody should be happy with was displayed on and off the court. Next game for Kumanovo is at home on March 13th against Rilski Sportist while Kavala will host BC Galil Gilboa on March 5th.
 
It was an even first quarter of the match as Kumanovo had a small lead for most of the time. The home team led by 4 points at most but Kavala took the advantage twice. However after ten minutes the home team was ahead by 2 points and in the second quarter the things continued to be the same. Kumanovo had a small lead which was increased to 8 points at one point. It didn′t last long as Kavala scored a triple and after the end of the first half Kumanovo was up 46-40.

The hosts continued to increased their lead in the third quarter as well managing to control the match. Shortly after the start of it they made a 7-0 run that made the margin 14 points but Kavala answered with 9 straight points to cut the deficit to just 5. Later the lead went up to 13 and after 30 minutes it was down to 9 at 73-64.

With a little more than two minutes in the game Kavala managed to close to 5 points and later Nemanja Mitrovic scored to cut it to 91-88 for the hosts. Aleksandar Kostoski responded with two free throws for the home team but David Tairu scored back those two points. The hosts made a turnover and then fouled Kieron Achara who made one free throw to make it a 1-point game. Kostoski was fouled and put in just one free throw but Kavala couldn′t make a play and the hosts celebrated the win.
 
Top scorer for the winners was Ivica Dimcevski with 23 points. Uros Lukovic once again made a double double with 17 and 10 rebounds while Aleksandar Kostoski had 14 points.

For the visitors William Coleman had double double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Nemanja Mitrovic played well with 17 points and David Tairu scored 14.
