Mornar handed Kozuv first loss in the Last 4

KK Mornar recorded second straight win in the Last 4 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Bar hosted KK Kozuv and won 87-81 for a 2-3 record and third place. In the same time the visitors stay on first position with a 4-1 record as this was their first defeat in the second stage. On April 4th Mornar will visit OKK Beograd and on April 2nd Kozuv will host Djuro Djakovic in the last round for all the teams.
It was an even first quarter with a lot of lead changes and ties as the biggest advantage was 4 points. It was like this for the whole time and Kozuv had the same lead after ten minutes. The team started very good the second quarter and after a 12-4 run took a 12-point advantage. The visitors continued to lead until the end of the first half but Mornar managed to cut the deficit to 5 points. Kozuv though increased it a little and after 20 minutes the team was up by 8 points.
Mornar made the comeback in the third quarter. The teams exchanged two points at the start of it but then the hosts made a 10-0 run and took the lead. The visitors scored a single point after that but Mornar responded with 6 straight to make it a 7-point game and after the end of the quarter they were up 59-55.
Kozuv started the last quarter with a 5-1 run to tie the game at 60-60.  What followed was a great run for the home team as they managed to take a good lead and kept it until the end.
Henry Thorns was the top scorer for the winners with 16 points as he added also 6 assists. 11 points apiece had Lazar Radosavljevic and Vukota Pavic who grabbed also 10 rebounds.
Aleksandar Sterjov was the top performer for the visitors with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Igor Mijalovic added 13 points and Darko Radulovic had 12.
