Strong second half was enough for Galil Gilboa to defeat Teodo

BC Galil Gilboa continues to play well in recent games and took another away win in Top 6 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Gan Ner won its third game away from home as they defeated KK Teodo in Tivat by a score 92-82. Thanks to this Galil now has 6 wins and 3 losses and is already qualified for the Final 4. Teodo on the other hand lost for 4th time in Top 6 and has 2-6 record. The team has two more games to play and can still qualify in wins them both and some other results go in their favour as well. Next game for Teodo is away at Kumanovo 2009 on March 26th while Galil will finish this stage with a home match against Rilski Sportist on April 4th.

The game was close in the first half and the visitors had the lead for most of it. In the second quarter it reached 13 points but at one point Galil cut it down to just 2. Teodo scored the last 3 points in the first half which gave the team an advantage of 5 at 56-51.

The visitors opened the second half on a 5-0 run that tied the game. Teodo scored but Galil answered with 6 straight points and took the lead. Until the end of the third quarter Teodo had the lead just once but then the visitors finished on a 7-0 run that gave them 5 point lead after 30 minutes.

Galil scored two triples to start the last quarter and took an 11-point lead. From then on the visitors had total control of the game and never allowed the lead to be less than 7 points. In the final minutes they cruised on to take the victory and fly back home happy.

Mitchell Watt was the top scorer for the winners with 16 points and added also 7 rebounds. Three other players had 14 points - Nimrod Tishman, Rakim Sanders and Jamar Smith.

For the home team Aleksandar Radulovic finished with 20 poitns and 7 rebounds while Srdjan Sutobic added 14 points.
