Domestic leagues: Levski lost the derby game to the champions, Rilski with an easy away win

Levski will almost certainly finish in second place in the regular season of the local championship. The team lost the derby game against the champions Lukoil Academic 94-98 and now is two wins back in the standings. Lukoil also has the advantage in the direct games so most probably Levski will be second.
The teams played a very tense and interesting game as the winners was decided in the end. Lukoil made a 13-0 run in the third quarter that gave the team a 10-point lead. In the final quarter Levski managed to cut the deficit to 3 points a few times but the team couldn′t make the next step and turn around the score. Marko Marinovic was the top scorer with 24 points as he added also 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Mladen Pantic had 16 points and 11 rebounds while Pavel Ivanov added 16 points.
In the same time Rilski Sportist played great offensive game and defeated Spartak Pleven away by a score 103-77. The team scored 60 points in the first half and took a good lead which they didn′t give up until the end. This leaves Rilski in third place with 15 wins and 6 losses.
Branko Mirkovic was the top scorer with 27 points, including five triples. Angelo Caloiaro had another solid outing with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists while Tony Gugino added 15 points and 9 rebounds.
