Assen Christov: Let the best team win!

Dear Participants, Guests and fans! Dear Friends of EUROHOLD Balkan League!   I would like to welcome you to celebrate with us the ending of the 5^th  edition of EUROHOLD Balkan League - Final Four 2013!   Here we come back again where everything started 4 years ago in the spring of 2009 with our first Final Four, with our first steps on the Balkan and European international stages. Here Samokov comes for the second time to host the event, this time far more competitive, far more interesting and ambitious!   Final Four 2013 gathered the four best clubs after an extremely challenging season, with new but proved system,  full of tense and thrilling games. Samokov 2013 put the gold medal winners from 2011-2012 season - BC Galil Gilboa to protect their title against the looking- for- revenge- team of Levski, the hosts from Rilski Sportist who are going to do the impossible to become the 1^st team in the history of the EUROHOLD Balkan League to win the title twice and both times in their home court, and the debutants of the competition - KK Kumanovo 2009. All these just leads to the thought how terrific and amazing the matches will be, charged with endless emotions and huge desire for competing and winning!   As I have promised last year, we managed to make the games more accessible and more watchable for the spectators who did not have the possibility to follow their favorites all over the Balkans, by broadcasting 100% of the games live online SportMedia TV. About 350 000 people watched the games online and over 1 000 000 in the TV from around 200 countries all over the world, and here it is the place to thank not only SportMedia TV but also our partners from Bulgarian National TV for the full coverage of the Bulgarian games this season and the Final Four, and the Israeli sports channel "ONE" which made us reachable in Israel too.   Future is in front of us and I assure you that the next season will be even more exciting and competitive, with more and new countries involved, and with higher class rivals on the basketball court!   To all the participants I wish successful and fair competition and to you, the spectators and fans, an unforgettable FINAL FOUR 2013 in Samokov !   Let the best team win!     Assen Christov, EUROHOLD Balkan League Executive Director Chairman of the Board of Directors of EUROHOLD
