Kumanovo 2009 lost to Galil Gilboa in the first semifinal of EUROHOLD Balkan League and here is what the head coach Ljubisav Lukovic and the top player of the team Aleksandar Kostoski had to say after the game:
Ljubisav Lukovic: "Kumanovo is may be the most famous basketball club in Macedonia. For us this year is very important because the young players receive a lot of minutes. I want to congratulate Galil as the team has very good players who know how to play in such games. In this moment I think this is our maximum because in the last 20 days we played 8 games and we lost one of the most important players Ivica Dimcevski who got injured. I can say that you′ll see us in the next season in EUROHOLD Balkan League because it showed very good organization."
Aleksandar Kostoski: "I would like to congratulate the team of Galil for the win. I think we missed two things - one is our lack of experience about the league and in such an event like the Final 4. The second is Ivica Dimcevski who is very important to our team. We knew that we were probably playing against the best team in EUROHOLD Balkan League and we gave everything we had. We had a lot of games this month so I′m not so sad and I can say that next year we′ll come back much stronger because now we know how to play and know what to do to win in the Final 4."
